Jannah Muhammad

Hi, my name is Jannah Muhammad, and I go to Western High School. Five words that describe me are: shy, determined, persistent, open-minded, and resourceful. I aspire to be a fashion photographer and branch out to film. One of my greatest accomplishments is the first film that I wrote, directed, and edited. The film, Projection of Me, was very hard for me to make because it was about a difficult time in my life. I am happy that I did share it because it took that pain off my chess and I hope it helped others who went or are going through the same thing.

I have skills and knowledge: Google docs, MS Word,  Adobe software (Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, and  Illustrator), social media (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook), and working with younger children. Production/Performance experience: directing, writing scripts, acting, photography, videography, set design, lighting, and editing.

Most people don’t know how much periods affect women and their lives. Usually every month for a week or more, women experience their period. They bleed and experience symptoms: craps, headaches, backaches, mood swings, and more. Yes we do have things like medicine and chocolate that will help us but it doesn’t completely get rid of the pain. You would think that it would get easier and we would get us to it but no. Sometimes are periods are mild or cause us so much pain that we can’t even move. Women have to deal with their periods while still living their live and doing every day things. Sometimes we can’t even do that, some women have to stay home because the pain is unbearable or they force themselves to go to work or school because they can’t afford to miss a day. Women go through so much pain, they can’t even get a goodnights rest, but people still ignore their cry for help.
